I know, very lame. I’ve been spending all my spare time working on changing/improving my art style and developing the animation “motobasturds”. Should have something to show for all this effort soon.

All that road behind you is in the past, that’s not what’s going to get you. It’s that mommy in the SUV with 3 kids in the back, talking on the cell phone trying to get that 15 year old baby sitter to show up at the last minute. Oh, forget that. I digress. The point is all that road behind you, the crappy road food you’ve eatin’, the stale beer, is nothing but crap down the toilet. Look ahead, there’s still plenty of crappy food to be eatin’ and cheap brew to swill. The best is yet to come. Or not, but it is going to come.

Every one needs a break now and then. I think I just might need to get this thing out from under my ass. Another attempt at finding an approach to getting color into these comics. I’m a little more happy with this one. Still not quite there but getting closer. Check out the store, got some new shirts printed. You just might want to get one before both of them are gone. Just one thing, don’t get caught wearing a motobasturd t-shirt unless you’re a real motobasturd. Ha Ha!

The season officially starts today! Daytona bike week is the event that thousands, maybe millions of bikers wait for every year. A chance to head south and kick off the new riding season. Bikes, beer and babes. Let’s ride. See ya on the blacktop.

Been a few days since I’ve been able to get a new comic up. I’m trying to work with a new piece of software to make the toons in color. I’m not real happy with the results to this point but thought I should get something posted. Will be working on improving the art as this process continues. Hopefully I can become as accomplished as Betty is at acquiring Mardi Gras beads.

Here’s a sketch of Betty, I’m not as happy with this one as the previous Big O sketch. This one will take a little more refining. I’d like to soften her up just a bit, not quite as much “attutude” as what’s shown here. Betty should have the “biker chick” look but she’s also everyone’s maternal figure in the strip. I’ve also been working on some t shirts for the strip. You can check one of them out in the store. (Man what a pain in the ass, this e store thing really is a pain for a plug and play piece.) If you feel like showing a little love you really should get the motobasturd t shirt.

The most important thing to remember when hitting the black top for a road trip is preparation is everything. Gas, check. Oil topped off, check. Sunglasses, check. Plenty of cash for burgers and beer, check. LET’S GO!

It’s that time! First road trip of the year and what better place to start the season with than New Orleans. Mardi Gras is the perfect place to party and this year it’s a HUGE party. Thanks to the Saints who pulled off an upset but they also did it in a comeback win. Ain’t that America? Gotta love it. Sometimes the little guy does win. See ya on the blacktop.
